Mary Baker

Mary C. Baker was born on July 23, 1964 in Indianapolis, the third of four children. After graduating from Illinois State University, summa cum laude, with Departmental Honors, she obtained her law degree from the University of Denver, College of Law. Ms. Baker began practicing law in Texas as a civil litigator; however, in 1993 she limited her practice to family law. She obtained her law licences in New Mexico and Colorado in 2001 and returned to Colorado in 2003. Understanding that divorce, even an amicable divorce, is difficult, she enjoys the challenge of helping families start a whole new chapter of their lives and is passionate about helping her clients through the transition, one step at a time. Ms. Baker served as Co-President of Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals, CCLP, for two terms and was part of the faculty for the first Continuing Legal Education seminar presenting "Basic Collaborative Law" for the Colorado Bar Association. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, MDIC, Texas Bar Association and New Mexico Bar Association and an active member of her church. She enjoys her family, including her husband, two daughters, their horses, dogs and cats, and the great state of Colorado. |
