Nathan Dowell

Nathan M.J. Dowell was born on August 16, 1969, in Seattle, Washington. As did his father, his older sister, and his younger brother, Mr. Dowell attended the University of Washington, where he received a B.A. in Political Science in 1992. Also like his father and his sister, Mr. Dowell pursued a legal career, moving with his wife to the State of Colorado to attend the University of Denver, College of Law in 1996. Mr. Dowell joined Cox Baker & Page, LLC in 2010 having practiced exclusively in the area of domestic relations with the law firm of Litvak Litvak Mehrtens and Epstein, P.C., for the preceding ten years. During his years as part of the family law bar, Mr. Dowell has had the privilege of assisting innumerable clients in navigating their way through the divorce process as well as arguing domestic relations cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals. Mr. Dowell takes great satisfaction in vigorously representing the interests of his clients and achieving resolutions that allow his clients and their children to succeed in the future. As a trained mediator, having attending the Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation in 2007, Mr. Dowell also enjoys assisting families in their efforts to resolve disputes in advance of litigation. Mr. Dowell is a member of the American, Colorado, and Denver Bar Associations and has been involved in co-authoring publications and presenting at seminars concerning varying topics within the family law field throughout his career. He also has the privilege of working with the Autism Society of Colorado and assisting them in their tireless efforts to improve the lives of children with autism spectrum disorders and their families.
